Tajik Jimmy

When editing Tajik Jimmy and shortening the size I cut out a lot of the beginning to focus more on what is actually important. I also cut out a lot of the end because in my opinion it was useless information. I combined to what i felt was important of the newscast in a way to where I can shortened the length of time as well as get the message across.

Ira Glass Storytelling

In watching the video he talked about the two building blocks in broadcasting. I already knew a little bit of that from previous classes, but he elaborated more and made it easy for people to understand if they didn't know it before.
I did however think that it was interesting when he talked about you spend more of your time looking for interesting stories rather than producing it. I thought he felt really strong in what he was saying, and kept it real with his audience. I also liked the fact that he said "failure is apart of success. "I think that we each can relate on that aspect.

I think that information he provided will help better improve my storytelling skills by allowing me to be more creative when conducting my stories.

Career

I think that in my intended career I will use various forms of Multimedia through a lot of audio, and visuals. Different forms of Multimedia are used a lot in the mass communication field. Below is just a few websites that I know uses multimedia through both audio, and visuals that I regulary watch or hear on a daily basis for my other classes:

CNN: uses both audio and visual to emphasize the stories and provide a sense of entertainment that one can watch.

ESPN: provides both audio and visual to where if you want to see it you can as well as you can listen to it by radio, and still hear the same information.
